Longmont Farmers Market
Longmont Farmers Market
Long before Longmont was know as a bustling tech center, it was sustained by thousands of acres of farmland — starting with the establishment of a flour mill in 1887, and later with the vegetable cannery built in 1889. These days, Longmont farms provide much more than just sugar beets, and preserved farm land in Longmont and beyond helps fill our market with fresh, seasonal vegetables, dairy products, and Colorado-raised meats. We’re proud to be a growers-only market, meaning every product at the Longmont Farmers Market is created locally and sold by the vendors who produce it.

Harlequin’s Gardens Class: Pollinators & the Plants They Love with Andrea Montoya
Colorado is home to at least 1000 Native Bees, scores of beetles, butterflies, dragon flies and more. But their numbers are declining, in large part because they have little or no access to the plants they love and need to survive. Learn what those plants are with insight into how and when to plant them so that the pollinating insects of Colorado have a chance to once again thrive. We will cover specific pollinating insects and flowering plants for both.

Sustainable Change is the Key to Our Future!
Colorado and the Nation, as a whole, has painted itself into a corner where the need for sustainable change is becoming more critical every day. Colorado’s greenhouse gas pollution, air quality, and congestion continue to increase negatively impacting productivity, overall health, and the state’s quality of life. Some have embraced the need for change but far too many continue on their way consuming finite carbon fuels that deplete our ozone and pollute in so many ways.
